Always use undamaged wheel flanges that
are of correct size and shape for your se-
lected wheel. Proper wheel flanges support
the wheel thus reducing the possibility of
wheel breakage. Flanges for cut-off wheels
may be different from grinding wheel flanges.
Do not use worn down wheels from larger
power tools. A wheel intended for a larger
power tool is not suitable for the higher speed
of a smaller tool and may burst.
Additional safety instructions
Wear safety goggles.
When working with the machine, always
hold it firmly with both hands and provide
for a secure stance. The power tool is guided
more secure with both hands.
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped
with clamping devices or in a vice is held more
securely than by hand.
Do not work materials containing asbes-
tos. Asbestos is considered carcinogenic.
Take protective measures when dust can
develop during working that is harmful to
one's health, combustible or explosive. Ex-
ample: Some dusts are regarded as carcino-
genic. Wear a dust mask and work with dust /
chip extraction when connectable.
Keep your workplace clean. Material mix-
tures are particularly dangerous. Dust of light
metal can be inflammable or explode.
Do not use a machine with a damaged
mains cable. Do not touch the damaged ca-
ble and pull the mains plug when the cable
is damaged while working. Damaged cables
increase the risk of an electric shock.
Connect machines that are used in the
open via a residual current device (RCD).
If the power supply should be discon-
nected, e. g. due to a power outage or pull-
ing the mains plug, release the On/Off
switch and set it to the Off position. This
prevents uncontrolled restarting.

Mounting the Grinding Tools
(Accessories – see figure
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
Clean the parts to be mounted. Hold the grinder
spindle 3 on the spanner surfaces with an open-
end spanner, size 17 mm.
Loosen clamping nut 2 open-end spanner.
Insert the clamping shank of the grinding tool
to the stop into the collet 1.
Tighten clamping nut 2.
The grinding tools must run completely concentri-
cal. Do not continue to use damaged grinding
tools that are out of balance. The grinding tools
must run completely concentrical. Do not con-
tinue to use damaged grinding tools that are out
of balance. Dress with a dressing stone (acces-
sory) or replace. With a dressing stone, any par-
ticular special shape can be formed out of the ba-
sic form of a grinding disc.
After installing an accessory, position
yourself and bystanders away from the
plane of the rotating accessory and run the
power tool at maximum no-load speed for
one minute. Damaged accessories will nor-
mally break apart during this test time.
Starting Operation
Observe correct mains voltage: The voltage of
the power source must agree with the voltage
specified on the nameplate of the machine.
Equipment marked with 230 V can also be con-
nected to 220 V.

Switching On and Off

Operating Instructions
Optimum grinding results are achieved when
the grinding tool is moved uniformly back and
forth with light pressure.
Pressure that is too strong reduces the per-
formance capability of the machine and
causes the grinding tool to wear more quickly.
Do not continue to use out-of-round grinding
tools. Dress with a dressing stone (accessory)
or replace.
