Connecting the antenna

The supplied antenna is an auxiliary antenna. If
the device cannot get sufficient reception via the
roof/DAB antenna, the auxiliary antenna can be
connected to help.

L NOTICE!
Reduced reception and device defects due to
incorrect connection of the antenna cable!
If the antenna cable is not connected and set up
properly, this may cause material damage and
reception problems.
– Never place the
close to metal objects or other electrical
devices. There may be metal rails in your walls,
especially close to the doors and edges. Please
note that the influence of these rails can impair
the reception of your sonoroHIFI.
– Try out different antenna positions to find a
suitable reception area.

Screw the supplied FM/DAB antenna (Fig. 17)
into the DAB/FM antenna port on the back of
the device.
2.
Unfold and align the antenna so that you have
the best possible reception.
For the best possible reception, ensure that the
antenna is always positioned vertically ↕.

Fix the loop at the end of the antenna cable
(Fig. 18) in the desired position using a drawing
pin or piece of sticky tape, for example.

Switching the device on and off

Switching the device on
1.
Establish a power supply by switching the mains
power switch on the back of the device to
„On" ([I]).
ð The device is in standby mode.

After you have switched the device on for
the first time, the LCD display shows the
operation language selection, clock
display and the message „Tune to FM
RDS station to set time & date" .
