Intelligent Probes with remote triggering
Applications
The test probe with integrated control unit permits remote trigger-
ing at difficult to access places, and at locations which require your
full attention. Poorly illuminated measuring points can be lit up by
means of the integrated test probe lamp.
The control unit includes keys for starting/stopping measurements,
for tripping RCDs and other devices, and for storing measured
values. An LED is used to indicate the status of the measuring
procedure and data storage.
The screw-in test tip is interchangeable. A set of 5 replacement test
tips (article no, Z506Y) is available as an accessory.
The connector cable is shielded against interference.
Safety Precautions

Attention!
The intelligent test probe may only be used with the fol-
lowing test instruments:
PROFITEST PRIME, PROFITEST PRIME AC, PROFITEST PRIME DC.
The test probe may only be used for applications which are speci-
fied in the operating instructions for your test instrument. Make
certain that the measurement cables are in flawless condition,
e.g. no damage to insulation, no interruptions in cables or plugs.
Measurements per DIN EN 61010-031 may only be performed in
environments in accordance with measuring categories III and IV
with the safety cap attached to the control unit's test tip.
In order to establish contact inside 4 mm sockets, the safety cap has
to be removed by prying open the snap fastener with a pointed
object (e.g. the other test probe).
The safety cap must also be removed in order to attach the alliga-
tor clip with bayonet lock included in scope of delivery.
After replacing the test tip, make sure that the new test tip has
been screwed in all the way. Use a 5 mm hex wrench to this end.
Each time the safety cap is reattached, it must audibly snap into
place.

When using the 3-pole plug,
make sure that the jack plug is
inserted into the 1(L) connector
row with the jack plug in the
jack position.

Insert the 3-way plug such that
it's seated flush all the way
across. This is the only way to
ensure that the 4 contacts on
