Charging Process
Please read this chapter completely before operating the unit to
notice and understand the glimmering/flashing status of the LEDs.
1. Insert the power plug into a wall socket. The battery charger
automatically turns to STANDBY-Mode (E) and the LED light up.
2. Select the correct charging mode by repeatedly pressing the
MODE button (A) until the resp. LED for the correct charging
mode (B, C or D) lights up. By pressing the MODE button re-
peatedly, the charger turns to the next charging mode.
Now the LED "Charging is active" (F)
or the LED for "Battery is fully charged" (G) turns on.
If the LED (F) lights up, the battery charger starts charging
process. The LED remains lit during the entire charging process
until the end of the charging process, than it turns off.
As soon as the battery is fully charged, the LED (G) lights up and
the LED (F) turn off.
At this stage the trickle charge will be performed to maintain and
protect the battery.
If the LED (G) lights up, the battery is fully charged.
If neither the LED "Charging is active" (F) nor the LED "Battery is
fully charged" (G) turn on after selecting the correct charging
mode, the below mentioned reasons might cause a malfunction:
- Connection between the battery and/or the chassis is not
correct
- The battery is defective.
If the LED (F) and the LED (G) alternately flash, the below
mentioned reasons might cause a malfunction:
- Charging process is disconnected because of faulty con-
nection of the quick clamps or
