Disassembly

C C hange Diaphragm
Risk of fatal or serious injury due to uncontrolled evasion of the medium!
There is a risk of fatal or serious physical injury if warnings are ignored.
Completely relieve pressure in the pipes prior to dismounting
Completely empty and rinse pipe, prior to dismounting in connection with harmful,
flammable or explosive media. Pay attention to potential residues.
Provide for safe collection of the medium by implementing appropriate actions.
Changing the PTFE Diaphragm
Special tool: see chapter 12 „Accessories", page 44 or strap wrench.
There is a risk of fatal or serious physical injury if warnings are ignored. If a PTFE
Diaphragm is used:
Replace both, PTFE Diaphragm and backing diaphragm EPDM or FKM
Drain and de-pressurize the pipeline. Level and pressure sensors display "0".
Open the housing with a strap wrench or the special mounting tools from GF.
Hold the actuator and piston housing with one hand and screw the diaphragm counter
clockwise out of the inner housing.
