• Do not use chemical stripping agents
together with the hot-air gun.
• Switch the hot-air gun on. Hold the
nozzle at a distance of about 8 –10
cm from the paint until it starts to
blister. Scrape the paint in even strips
downwards.
• Warm the area in front of the scraper
evenly by moving the gun slightly
from side to side.
• The edge of the scraper has to be
cleaned often so that it remains clean
and sharp.
• On profiled surfaces the paint has to
be warmed and softened and then
removed using a wire brush.
• Cover all surfaces which should not
be heated with non-flammable
material. Never point the hot-air
nozzle directly at a window or other
glass surface.
8 – Accessories
The attachment nozzles for special work
are pushed onto the air outlet of the
hot-air gun as and when needed.
Wide-surface nozzle (a), ideal for
removing paint and adhesive labels.
Deflector nozzle (b) protects adjacent
surfaces which are not to be heated or
are sensitive to heat, e.g. window
planes.
Reflector nozzle (c) for shaping plastics,
e.g. tubes, and for shrinking cables.
Spot nozzle (d) for accurate spot
working and soft soldering.

NOTE: The hot-air gun is suitable
for use in stripping oil paint and
latex paint. It cannot strip glazes or
primers used to impregnate wood.
DANGER! Vapours from lead-
based paints are dangerous.
When working indoors always make
sure that the house is adequately
ventilated. Always remove paint
residues from the nozzle immediately!
There is a danger of fire if the paint
overheats.
DANGER! Never point the hot air
jet at the power lead. The lead
must not come into contact with the
hot nozzle or the hot workpiece, as
this may melt the lead insulation and
so cause a risk of electric shock!
9 – Maintenance and
environmental protection
Always keep the openings for the air
inlet and air outlet clean and free of
dust. Clean the pistol with a damp
cloth. Do not use turpentine, paint
stripper, petrol or similar agents when
cleaning.
ATTENTION! Pull the plug out
before cleaning the gun !
CAUTION! Electrical and battery
operated units that no longer work
should not be disposed of in the
household waste! They are to be
collected separately, in accordance with
the 2012/19/EU directive
for the disposal of
electrical and electronic
waste, and sent for proper
and environ mentally-
friendly recycling.
