For upgrading the modules
– CHS 2000 M,
– CHS 2000 S,
– CHS 2000 O,
– CHS 2000 B,
– CHA 2000 A
in the CSE 2000 system.
The Decoder Interface CHE 2000 D enables
channels A and b to be relayed to the out-
side. A 15-pole subminature D-type socket is
provided as the interface to the outside.
On the 15-pole subminature D-type sockets,
it is possible to
- connect decoders/descramblers for
unencrypting signals.
It is also possible
- to use video recorders or video cameras to
inject video and audio signals into the
system, e.g. video programs or signals from
surveillance cameras.
For the injection of signals
- one video input and
- two audio inputs are provided.
Setting the Jumpers
Decoder/descrambler provides control
voltage:

The Decoder Interface relays the signal for
unencrypting to the decoder/descrambler
that is connected. This unencrypts the signal
and feeds it back, via the same 15-pole
subminature D-type socket, to signal path of
the set of channels.
The decoder/descrambler controls the
relaying of the signal using a control voltage
that is fed to the Decoder Interface.
Some decoders/descramblers do not output
a control voltage. In this case, the relaying of
the signal can be forced by changing
jumpers on the Decoder Interface circuit
board. This adjustment is also necessary if
the Decoder Interface is to be used to inject
external video and audio signals into the
CSE 2000 system, and no control voltage is
provided.
Decoder/descrambler does not provide a
control voltage (this setting also apples for
the injection of an external video/audio
signal):
