2-Channel Multi-Frequency
Receiver
These instructions are intended for users
without any specific technical knowledge .
Please read these instructions carefully prior
to operating the unit and keep them for later
reference .
The receiver consists of two identical
receiver sections . These instructions only
describe receiver section 1 (RECEIVER 1) . The
operation of receiver section 2 is identical .

1 Overview

1 Drill holes for additional BNC antenna
jacks (available as an accessory) to install
the receiving antennas on the front side,
if required
2 IR window for the infrared signals to set
the channel of the wireless microphone/
pocket transmitter
3 Button SYNC
− To send the infrared signals for setting
the channel of the wireless microphone /
pocket transmitter, briefly press the
button .
− To automatically scan a free reception
channel, keep the button pressed until
the display lights up in red and the
indicator segments of the numerals for
FREQUENCY start rotating .

− To change the reception channel, the
squelch value or the mixing ratio of the
microphone signals at the jack SUM
OUT (12), press the button SET repeat‑
edly until the numerals CH, the arrow
SQ or the numerals VOL start flashing .
While the arrow/numerals keep flashing,
make the setting with the buttons 
and  (5) .
− To activate or deactivate the keylock,
keep the button SET pressed for 2 sec‑
onds .
7 POWER button
− To switch on the receiver, keep the but‑
ton pressed until the displays light up .
− To switch off the receiver, keep the but‑
ton pressed until OFF appears on the
displays .
8 Strain relief for the cable of the power
supply unit
9 Power supply jack DC INPUT to connect
the power supply unit provided with the
receiver
10 Antenna jacks
11 Audio output MIC OUT (XLR, bal .)

2 Safety Notes

The units (receiver and power supply unit)
correspond to all relevant directives of the EU
and are therefore marked with
WARNING The power supply unit uses
The units are suitable for indoor use only .
Protect them against dripping water, splash
water and high air humidity . The admissible
ambient temperature range is 0 – 40 °C .
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid,
e . g . drinking glasses, on the units .
Immediately disconnect the power supply
unit from the mains if
1 . the receiver or the power supply unit is
visibly damaged,
2 . a defect might have occurred after the
unit was dropped or suffered a similar
accident,
3 . malfunctions occur .
In any case the units must be repaired by
skilled personnel .
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never
use water or chemicals .
No guarantee claims for the units and no
liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if the
units are used for other purposes than
originally intended, if they are not correctly
connected or operated, or if they are not
repaired in an expert way .

3 Applications

Combine the receiver TXS‑727 with two
wireless microphones to provide a wireless
2‑channel audio transmission system specially
designed for musicians and live applications
on stage . The Diversity* receiver uses the UHF
frequency range 667 .000 – 691 .750 MHz .
*Diversity technology:
The signal sent from the wireless microphone/pocket
transmitter is received by two antennas . The signal
of the highest power is then processed .

sonnel only . Inexpert handling
of the unit may result in electric

If the units are to be put out of oper‑
ation definitively, take them to a local
recycling plant for a disposal which
is not harmful to the environment .

Setting the transmission channels is most
convenient: Just set the two channels at the
receiver; via an infrared signal from the re‑
ceiver, the transmitters will then be set to the
channels of the receiver .

4 Setting into Operation

4.1 Setting up, connecting and
switching on/off the receiver
1) The receiver can be placed on a table or in‑
stalled into a rack (482 mm / 19") . For rack
installation, a height of 1 RS (RS = rack
space = 44 .45 mm) is required .
2) Connect the two receiving antennas sup‑
plied to the antenna jacks ANT‑A and
ANT‑B (10) . To lock the antennas, turn
the knurled ring of the plug clockwise to
the stop . Then place the antennas into a
vertical position .
To remove the antennas, turn the ring
counter‑clockwise .
