CONNECTING THE POWER SUPPLY

Before connecting the power supply, ensure that the local mains voltage
matches the voltage required by the device.

Always check the power cable for damage before using the device. If power
cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales

service or by similarly qualified personnel in order to avoid hazards.
The device is operated with mains voltage. Complete all preparatory work (section 2.3
ff.). Then connect the mains plug to the wall socket.
Risk of electric shock! An electric current passes through the base unit during
operation. Never immerse the appliance in water.

Always disconnect the device from the power supply whenever electricity is not
required for the current activity (e.g. cleaning, removal or insertion of blades or

other detachable parts, storage).
Never use a defective device or a device with defective accessories.

2.3

OPERATION

The NUK Baby Menu uses hot steam to cook, heat and defrost food. This steam is
generated by heating the water in the water reservoir. The steam is directed from the
base unit into the bowl via the lid. To allow the steam to reach the bowl unhindered, it is
essential that the lid is correctly applied and closed. The lid features a locking
mechanism for this purpose. It is particularly important that an optimum connection is
established between the steam outlet 18 of the base unit and the steam inlet 17 on the
lid.
Excess steam is directed outside the device via the steam outlet 8 on the lid.
Check the lid and bowl for damage before each use. The lid and the bowl must
lock into place when inserted. Replace damaged parts before use.

In the case of incorrect assembly, the heating unit remains deactivated by a safety
switch.
Risk of scalding! The device emits hot steam during operation and when the lid
is opened. Avoid contact with the hot steam by maintaining a safe distance with

your face and hands.
The bowl is made of material specifically designed for the preparation of

When steam cooking, the blending or smoothie blade must always be fitted to

STEAM COOKING

Risk of burning! Parts of device can get very hot during steam cooking. Avoid
skin contact. Do not lean over the device.
