This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord
out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not allow the appliance to come into contact with damp or wet
hands. Do not touch the mains cable or the plug with wet hands.
Do not touch any hot surfaces. Hold the glass jug and the filter
holder by the handle only.
Do not use any accessories that have not been recommended by
the appliance manufacturer. This can lead to fires, electric shocks
or injuries.
For USA–Canada: This appliances has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
The appliance must not be switched on without water.
Do not fill the water tank (2) above the MAX line.
The appliance must never be switched on without the shower head (5)
and filter holder (6).
Avoid contact with the steam that is generated during the brewing
process. Therefore do not open the lid (3) during this process.
Otherwise there is a risk of scalding.
Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the
brewing cycles.
Boiling water can cause burns.
