Before First Use
e Remov theplastic isolator t abfromthebattery compartment (if present)
priorto use.
Make sure thatthebatteries areinserted f ollowing thecorrect p olarity.
Position the scale on a firm flat surface.
For u seoncarpet, r emove t henon-slip pads fromthescales feet andattach the
enclosed carpet f eet.
Changing the Weight
STEP 1:Press thecentreoftheglass platform to turnonthescale.
STEP 2:Select k g,st orlbsweight m ode bypressing [UNIT] o nthebase of the
scale. The scale will then turn off.

Setting the Scale to Zero
STEP 1 :Press thecentre of theglass platform andmake surenoweight i s on
thescale. [ 0.00/ZER0] willbedisplayed.
STEP 2 : The scale willswitch off andis now ready f or use.
NOTE: T HEZERO-SETTING PROCESS MUSTBEREPUTEDIF THE
SCALE IS MOVED. A TAU OTHER TIMESSTEPSTRAIGHT ONTO
THESCALE.
Using the Smart Scale to Take
Weight Readings
STEP 1 :Step onto theplatform andstand still.
STEP 2 :After2-3seconds t heweightreading w illbedisplayed.
STEP 3 : Step offtheplatform; theweightreading w illbedisplayed f orseveral
seconds before the scale turns off.
Pairing a Mobile Device
STEP 1 : Download andinstall t heSalter H ealth appona mobile device.
STEP 2 :Turn onBluetooth i nthesettings menu onthemobile device.
STEP 3 : Open t heSalterHealth appandfollow theonscreen instructions t o
setupa profile.
STEP 4 : Once anaccount is setupnavigate totheSettings menu intheapp.
STEP5: Select 'Add Device'.
STEP6: Select '9159 Scale' from the list of devices.
STEP 7 :Follow theinstructions s hown onthemobile device to finishsetup.
STEP 8 : Repeat Steps 1-7 foreachuser andmobile device.
NOTE:EACHUSERNUMBERCAN ONLYBE PAIREDWITH
ONEMOBILEDEVICE.RESULTS WILL BEAVAILABLEON THE
PAIREDDEVICE ONLY.
