Cascading the HardBoot CCX

2.3.1

Cascading with a CATCenter Master

To increase the number of servers to be connected you have to cascade the
HardBoot CCX. To do so, proceed as follows:
Connect the xBus interface on the right of
the first HardBoot CCX to the left xBus
interface of the next slave using a cascade
cable (1 cable RJ12 => RJ12).
In accordance with the addressing of the HardBoot CCX (see table in
2.2) address 1 (all four DIP-switches in the "Off" position) must be assigned to
the first HardBoot CCX. The second HardBoot CCX receives address 2 (DIP-
switch 1 in the 'On' position, the rest in the 'Off' position).
For additional cascading within this chain continue as described above and
assign the addresses according to the table in
Installation and Configuration Manual
