TOOL OPERATION COMPRESSION TOOL

Attention! Risk of injury!
Incorrect handling of the tool can lead to personal injury
and/or damage to property
- Whenever changing the compression jaw sets, ensure that the locking pins
are fully and securely locked into place.
- Check the compression jaw sets, the expander tools and the tool for damage
or visible wear prior to each use. Damaged tools must no longer be used
and are to be sent to authorised service centres to be repaired.
1. Always push the long compression
jaw onto the tool cylinder first
followed by the short jaw.
3. The clamping jaws can be moved
into the correct position by means of
rotating the tool cylinder.
The pipe gripper is used when
making vertical joints to keep the
compression sleeve away from the
pipe expansion area. The pipe
gripper can also be used to push
back and hold pipe insulation or
corrugated conduit away from the
pipe expansion area.

2. Secure both jaws into place by
fully inserting the short locking pin
into the long compression jaw and
the longer locking pin into the shorter
jaw.
Attention:
Ensure that the double compression
jaws (e.g. dim. 25) are aligned cor-
rectly to each other! Always insert
the locking pins all the way!
4. Always change the compression
jaws with the tool in starting position
(handles fully open at 90 degrees).
