Safety instructions
These operating instructions will help you to get to know
the coffee machine and to use it in accordance with its
intended use. They contain important information on
how to operate your machine properly and safely. Your
attention will help to avoid hazards, repair costs and in-
convenience due to the machine being out of service.
This will increase the reliability and service life of the cof-
fee machine.
•
These operating instructions must always be avai-
lable where the coffee machine is being used.
•
Everyone who works with this machine must have
read these instructions and must apply them.
•
In the event of unforeseen interruptions in operation,
the machine must be switched off and the water cock
must be closed. No liability will accepted for water or
electrical damage caused by failure to comply with
this instruction.
•
A safe step must be used if a bean hopper into which
the beans are poured is too high.
•
Beware: the dispensers remain hot for a considerable
time after the machine has been switched off.
•
The coffee machine must be cleaned only with the
recommended HGZ cleaning tablets and HGZ Cap-
pucleaner. The manufacturer cannot be held liable or
bear any responsibility should any cleaning products
other than HGZ cleaning tablets be used.
•
The machine must never be opened or repaired by
an unskilled person, as otherwise there is a risk of in-
jury or damage to the machine.
•
Danger of explosion. Never spray into the machine.
CFC-free propellants are often flammable.

tor under certain circumstances.
This device is not intended to be used by persons (inclu-

Sundry installation indications
At the location of the coffee machine the temperature
must be between 10°C and 35°C. The humidity should
not exceed 80%.
The coffee machine shall only be installed by a trained
service technician. The coffee machine must be moun-
ted horizontally on a massive table which must be able
to bear its weight under all circumstances. The location
of the machine must be chosen so that it is outside the
direct guest area, can be supervised by a trained person
and is not in the range of a water jet.
When the machine is installed, the new hose set supplied
with the device must be used. The old hose sets must not
be reused.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused
by incorrect installation.
Protecting the control unit
The connectors of the control unit must never be connec-
ted or disconnected under current.
The connector of the heater must be disconnected be-
fore installation to protect the heating system.
The boiler must first be filled with water.
Electrical instructions
If a fixed device is not fitted with a mains lead and a plug
or other means of switching it off which has a contact
width on each pole which meets the conditions in over-
voltage category III for full isolation, then such a means
of isolation must be built in to the fixed electrical installa-
tion in line with the construction provisions.
If the mains connection lead on the device is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its Customer
Service or a similarly qualified person, in order to pre-
vent hazards.
The machine must be protected by a separate fuse group.
In accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, in wet and
damp rooms, the outlet must be protected against power
supply faults. In the case of machines with additional de-
vices, extra sockets (1N 230V) are required.
CAUTION: Breaks in the neutral conductor can destroy
the control unit.
Water pressure / water quality
Maximum 6 bar, minimum 2 bar. A pressure outside the
values prescribed will impair the functioning of the ma-
chine. Where water hardness exceeds 10 dH°/17 fH°,
it is recommended that the machine be operated with
a water softening cartridge with a bypass (such as Brita
Quell). The optimum overall hardness for coffee is
5 to 8 dH° (8 to 14 fH°).
