NOTE ABOUT SERIAL PORT: It very often happens that there are several USB serial
ports connected in the PC in use. It is not certain whether the chosen serial port is the
correct one. If the wrong port is chosen, no damage is done to the PC or the connected
devices. Nothing serious happens.
Having some practice with digital devices, such as computers, you can check the USB
port number by opening the Device Manager in the Control Panel section. This section
provides information about the number dynamically assigned to the connected port.
In the pictures above, one can see the changes resulting from connecting the USB-PROG be-
fore and after. When the USB-PROG is plugged in (in this example), COM port N°4 is created
