Trimming the Xtra parts and base
The unique components of the Xtra Modular System can be
trimmed to provide the ideal seating position for the end
user. The front, lateral and side wedges require trimming
to fit the base. These parts are intended to indicate the
size of the cushion and act as a marker to help trim the
part accurately. Use a precision knife or scissors to trim the
accessories (please see diagrams for examples). The base of
the cushion can also be trimmed to accommodate leg length
discrepancies, additional hamstring space for knee flexion
contractures or amputations.
