4 Remove the switching unit from the housing. It consists of the shifting
hex cylinder, 2 tooth rings, 2 ratchets and 2 cable seats.
5 The cable seats should be oriented by about 120° to each other in order
to clear the nipples for the removal of the shifter cables.
If this is not the case, use the Shift:R Tool or the catch of the outer
demeshing plate as an tool to reposition the cable seats. Do not use any
other tool, as improper handling might lead to a damaged product.
Proceed as follows:
Place the shifting hex cylinder onto the outer demeshing plate. The ratchet
has to be positioned in front of the catch. Carefull twisting of the switch
unit disengages the ratchet from the tooth ring and allows a relative
repositioning of the cable seats. Pay attention to not bending any parts
such as the catch by improper handling.
