2 Mount the shiftbox onto the hub's hexagonal interface bolt. The hub's gear
position has no significance. Apply a small amount of grease onto the hub's
shifting shaft to ensure easy sliding between shaft and the shiftbox
interface during installation.
Slightly pull one of the shifter cables while mounting the shiftbox to
align the hexagonal shiftbox interface and the hubs hexagonal shaft.
If the shiftbox is completely flush, it will be affixed with the
attachment bolt.
3 Make sure the shiftbox sits flush with the hub, then tighten the locking
screw. Install the shift cable index housing along the frame, cut it to length
and mount the end caps on each side. The upper exiting cable activates
a higher gear, the lower exiting cable activates a lower gear.
