The elimination of electrical and electronic
equipment must comply with the national law in
force, and particularly for members of the EU, with the
application of the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE) Directive (2012/19/CE).
This means that if you wish to dispose of your used
watch, you must not throw it in the refuse, but instead
place it in a location specifically designated for recy-
cling electrical and electronic waste, or hand it in to an
official Chopard retailer, where a watchmaker will remove
the batteries and ensure that the used watch parts will
be processed in an environmentally friendly way.
