Technical data
The unit is used to connect pushbuttons or
signal lamps to ABB i-bus" EIB, e.g.: in an
operating/indicator panel. It features 32
inputs/outputs which can be freely
programmed with the aid of the ETS. The unit
requires an external auxiliary voltage supply
for powering the input/outputs. The bus
connection is made via the bus connection
terminal on the front side.

Commissioning/operation
The physical address, the group addresses
and the parameters are set with the ETS2
(EIBA Tool Software).
The ESD (Electrostatic Sensitive Device)
safety measures must be followed when
connecting the indicators and operating
controls on the UK/S32.1. It suffices for the
electrician performing the work to discharge
any body charges to earth potential before
starting work.
In order to avoid electrostatic discharges to
the unit during use of the UK/S32.1 as
intended, please ensure that no conductive
parts connected to the input or output
terminals of the unit can be touched directly.

Installation

For installation in distributors or in operating/
indicator panels. Snap-on mounting on 35
mm mounting rail DIN EN 50022.
The bus connection is made by plugging on
the bus connection terminal (included in
scope of delivery).
The input/outputs are connected via
connector strips with screw-type terminals.
Wire range 0,14-1,0 mm 2 .
Should the LEDs glow slightly when they are
OFF, this can reduced to a minimum by
lowering the supply voltage from 24 V to 12 V.
