8. Customer service

8.1. Troubleshooting

Malfunctions often occur for the simplest of reasons, but some can also be complex
and require a lot of analysis.
 Start by carefully checking all the cable connections. If the power indicator lights
are not on, ensure that the computer and the speakers are properly connected
to the power supply.
 Turn off the computer and check all cable connections. Once you are certain that
the power supply is working correctly and all connections are intact, switch the
computer back on.
 The speaker connection cable must be attached to the output socket of the
sound card (Line out or Speaker out).
 If the sound is distorted or too quiet, adjust the volume using the volume
control [VOL] until the desired volume level is reached.
If you do not hear any sound, this may be down to a number of reasons:
• No power supply to the speakers
• Volume control not turned up
• Sound output from the computer is deactivated, switched to mute or faulty.
• You can check the speakers by attaching the connection cable to the headphone
output of a CD-ROM drive and playing a music CD.
