The software of the totalizer is divided into 5
main menus. To change to the submenus the
+
key must be pressed.
In the operating mode the total quantity
(T) that has flowed through since the start
is displayed in the first line whereas in the
second line the current flow rate (Q) is
displayed.
Basic settings with regard to the indication in
the display can be made in the main menu
SetBasics.
In SetFunction the function of the totalizer
and the operating values are set, e. g. the
operator can choose whether the number of
pulses/litre or the number of litres/pulse will
be available at the frequency output.
The values to be entered in the submenus
of SetCalibration are calibration values
which are set at the factory if the turbine is
mounted to the unit when supplied and are
stated on the test certificate.
If only the flow transmitter head (without
turbine) is ordered, the K-Factor and the
ZeroOffset must be set in accordance with
the test certificate of the turbine.
The calibration values 4 mA and 20 mA
are adjusted and should not be changed.
If the values are changed they have to be
readjusted in accordance with the test
certificate or by applying a current meter
after selecting the submenu (Adjust 4 mA /
Adjust 20 mA) using the
In the main menu Service various data
regarding the software version of the unit are
indicated, the turbine can be checked and
the operation of the flow transmitter can be
locked.
The main menus can only be operated
if the unit is in the unlocked status; when
locked (Status: locked) only a change to the
operating mode is possible but not to other
main menus. In case of "Status: locked", the
display changes to the operating mode if the
+
key is not pressed within 6 seconds.
In the submenu Sensor Check the turbine
function is checked. When the default
"Turbine must run" appears the medium
must flow through (or the turbine must start
to rotate). Then press the
turbine works properly, "OK" appears in the
display. If "NOT OK" appears, the turbine
must be checked.
Only those settings which are required to
deviate from the factory settings must be
changed. See chapter 9.4.
Settings or calibration values can be set to
suit customer requirements in accordance
with the menu structure in chapter 9.3.
