the recess provided in the container with a soft audible
'click'. The NOCH Gras-Master 4.0 PROFI can now be
switched on.
Removal of grass fibres: To remove remaining grass
fibres from the container, first switch off the the device.
Remove the Flock Change Container (4) by turning it
slightly and pulling it forwards from the handle (1).
Then unscrew the sieve (6) and pour the grit out of the
container.
Caution: Even after removing the container, there may
still be residual tension for physical reasons. Do not
touch the metal plate (5) in the container.
Changing: Switch off the device first, before you
change the Flock Change Container (4) (ref. 60127)
efficiently during the grass application of your model
landscape and replacing it, for example, with a XL Flock
Change Container (ref. 60129) or the Detail Flocker (ref.
60128). Carefully turn the Flock Change Container 1 - 2
cm on the handle (1). The ball of the bayonet catch (7)
is lowered and the container can be easily pulled off
to the front and set aside. Now insert the container
(4), which has already been filled and added with the
suitable sieve onto the handle (1). Make sure that the
spike at the rear of the container fits exactly into the
opening at the bottom of the handle (2). Now turn the
container slightly until the ball of the bayonet catch (7)
fits into the recess provided in the container with a soft
audible 'click'. The NOCH Gras-Master 4.0 PROFI can
now be switched on.
Note: The XL Flock Change Container (14) (ref.
60129) and the Detail Flocker (15) (ref. 60128)
follow the same design and application principle as
the Flock Change Container described above. They can
therefore be operated in the same way. In particular the
safety instructions must be observed! The containers
may only be opened and filled when the appliance is
switched off and opened and filled from the handle.
F. Switching on, switching off, adjusting the
high voltage
The device may only be switched on when a
container with a sieve has been placed on the handle
and the bayonet catch is correctly engaged (see E).
A slide switch (8) labelled 'I' (= on) and '0' (= off) is
installed on the handle cover (3). To switch on, slide
the switch to the I position. Switch on the device before
use, as the electric field is generated immediately
and the grass fibres are charged and released by the
device. Switch off the device immediately after the
application by moving the slide switch to '0'.
Next to the I/0 switch (8) there is a rotary control (13).
You can use this to set the output high voltage of the
device. By turning in the direction of '+' (wide end
of the curved triangle) you may increase the output
voltage. Turning in the direction of '-' (narrow end of
the curved triangle) you may reduce it. The output high
voltage can be regulated between approx. 11 kV and
approx. 20 kV. Set the high voltage to suit the grass fib-
res. Shorter grass fibres can already be charged with a
lower high voltage, longer grass fibres require a higher
voltage. You can adjust the regulation on the switched-
on device during the grassing process.
Tip 1: If the grass fibres 'pull strings', i.e. if they
chain together as they exit the device, so individual
grass fibres can no longer fall onto the surface of the
landscape, reduce the high voltage (turn the control
towards '-').
Tip 2: The level of the set high voltage directly influen-
ces the battery life via the consumption.
The higher this is set, the faster the battery
is empty. The battery life varies between 3 and 10
hours depending on the set voltage
(see above under 'Technical data'). To work as
efficiently as possible and achieve the longest
long battery life as possible, reduce the high voltage if
possible (e.g. when using shorter grass fibres).
G. Application: Flocking a model landscape
with the NOCH Gras-Master 4.0 PROFI
With the NOCH Gras- Master 4.0 PROFI you can
easily create perfect meadows. For the best possible
results, use only original NOCH grass fibres and NOCH
Grass Glue (refs. 61130 and 61131).
For special applications such as grassing particularly
large, small or difficult to reach areas, the NOCH XL
Flock Change Container (ref. 60129) and the NOCH
Detail Flocker (ref. 60128) are available separately. The
application is in the same way as the standard Flock
Change Container (see notes E, F).
