Sanding

NOTE!
Do not allow the rotating sanding plate
to touch sharp protrusions. Contact with
protruding objects (nails, screws, electrical
boxes, etc.) may severely damage the
sanding plate.
• Switch on the sander (see chapter "Switching
on / off").
• Position the sander loosely against the work
surface.
• Apply just enough force to align the sanding
head 11 to the work surface
• Apply additional force when you make contact
with the work surface as you move the sander
in overlapping movements.
• Keep moving the constantly as long as the
sanding plate is in contact with the work
surface.
• Use a steady sweeping movement. Topping
the sander (on the work surface), or
erratic movements of the sander can cause
unacceptable sanding marks and unevenness
on the work surface.
• Lift the sander carefully from the work surface
when the wotk is finished.
• Switch off the sander (see chapter "Switching
on / off").

Work instructions

CAUTION!
Do not apply excessive force on the
product. Excessive pressure may damage
the bit or the product and increases
the risk of injury. For this reason is it
important to always grip the product
firmly with two hands and maintain a
stable posture.

Use the right sanding paper for your
application. Bear in mind the properties
of the workpiece and the results you
wish to achieve. Sanding performance
is determined largely by the grit of the
sanding paper and the pressure applied
while sanding. The sander is particularly
capable of quickly sanding flat surfaces.
When sanding, it is important to start
with a coarse sanding paper and to
progress to finer sanding papers. If the
sanding paper used is too coarse, the surface
finish will not be smooth, and could even
become rougher. If the sanding paper is too fine,
then the results will be poor.
- Before starting work, perform a trial run in
a safe place. Check the plate for cracks and
surface damage.
- Check all screws and fixings regularly. Check
all fastening screws regularly for tightness;
loose screws must be tightened immediately.
If not, serious damage or injury can result.
- Move the sander either backwards and
forwards or in a circular motion, with the
sanding plate in parallel with the surface of
the workpiece.
- Do not press too hard on the sander.
Excessive pressure does not increase the
sanding performance.
- Do not use the sander with fluid polishing or
abrasive material.
- Remove the sanding dust from the sandpaper
and workpiece from time to time using a
vacuum cleaner, if an extraction system is not
connected.
- Sanding papers that get clogged have a poor
sanding performance.
