Warnings
Before using this equipment, be sure to read this manual carefully.
Your device uses Bluetooth technology. Keep your Withings ScanWatch 2 device more than 15 cm away from any
implanted medical devices, and other devices that may be affected. Stop using your Withings ScanWatch 2 if you
suspect any interference with your medical device, and consult your physician or your medical device manufacturer
as needed. A number of factors can affect the accuracy of the pulse rate data used to identify episodes of irregular
heart rhythm suggestive of AF. These include factors like body motion, hand and finger movements, wrist tattoos
and decreased blood flow to your wrist (which can be caused by cold temperatures). Exposing the device to pro-
longed lint or dust may reduce its lifetime or damage it. Inspect electrodes for warping, surface damage or corro-
sion and check for any other form of damage. Damaged electrodes or sensors may lead to incorrect measurements.
DO NOT use Withings ScanWatch 2 if it is damaged. Use of a damaged device could cause injury or equipment
failure. DO NOT try to repair or modify this equipment yourself. DO NOT open or disassemble the device for
battery replacement. Use of cleaning agents other than specified in this manual may damage the device. DO NOT
use accessories, detachable parts, or materials not described in this manual. Use of parts and components other
than those specified or provided by the manufacturer of this equipment could result in increased electromagnetic
emissions or decreased electromagnetic immunity of this equipment and result in improper operation. DO NOT
interconnect this equipment with other equipment not described in this manual. DO NOT take recordings when
Withings ScanWatch 2 is in close vicinity to strong electromagnetic fields (e.g., electromagnetic anti-theft systems,
metal detectors). DO NOT take recordings during a medical procedure (e.g., magnetic resonance imaging, diather-
my, lithotripsy, cautery and external defibrillation procedures). DO NOT take recordings when Withings ScanWatch
2 is outside of the operational temperature and relative humidity ranges indicated in this manual. Otherwise, meas-
urement results may be impacted. Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna
cables and external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the device, including
cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise this could result in degradation of performance of the Withings
ScanWatch 2. Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided because it
could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, this equipment and the other equipment should be
observed to verify that they are operating normally. The power cord of the charger may cause strangulation due
to excessive length. Keep it away from children and pets. The battery inside the watch will stop charging when
the temperature is less than -10°C (+/-5°C or ) or over 50°C (+/-5°C). If storage conditions are different from the
operating conditions indicated in the technical specifications, wait 30 minutes before using the device.
