User manual and warranty card
The guide rail should always be rectangular in shape.
Check the wear of the guide rail. To do this, place the ruler 1 (Fig. 19) on the guide outside
the blade. If there is a gap between them (2 Fig. 19), the rail is good. Otherwise, if there is no
gap 3 (Fig. 19), the chain is tilted (4 Fig. 19) and the rail is worn. This guide requires repair or
replacement.
CHAIN SHARPENING
The cutting tool should always be clean and sharp to ensure that the work is carried out
smoothly and safely. Operating a blunt chain saw will cause faster wear of the chain guide
chain and the chain drive sprocket, and in extreme cases may cause the chain to break.
Therefore, it is important to sharpen the chain in time. Self-sharpening of the chain requires
the use of special tools and skills, so it is recommended to entrust the sharpening of the
chain to qualified persons or service gardening tools.
Authorized MURRAY service is recommended.
Blades require sharpening when:
sawdust is dust,
cutting requires additional force,
the trace of the cut is not simple,
the vibrations increase,
fuel consumption increases.
Warning! Wear protective gloves.
Before sawing:
make sure that the chain is held in a safe position,
ensure that the engine is stopped,
prepare a round file of the size suitable for the chain.
Place the file on the blade and push straight forward. Hold the file position as shown
in Fig. 20.
After each blade has been positioned, check the depth and saw it to the correct level,
As in Fig. 21.
Warning! Make sure that the front edge is rounded to reduce the risk of the
connecting belt jumping off or breaking.
1 – proper control
2 – arm rounding
