WARNING!
When cutting a tree, warn people who may be in the vicinity of the tree about the potential
danger.
CUTTING INTO LOGS AND HEATING
Before starting work, evaluate the direction of the propagation of forces (stresses) inside the
entire log. Always finish the cut on the opposite side of the log bending direction at the
cutting area to prevent the guide from jamming.
A tree lying on the ground (Fig. 15):
Cut down to half, then turn the log and cut the other side.
Tree placed on supports (Fig. 16):
In area A, cut from bottom up to one third of the depth and finish cutting from top down. In
area B, cut from top to bottom to one-third of the depth and finish cutting from bottom to
top.
Cutting off the branches of the fallen tree (Fig. 17):
First, check in which direction the branch is bent. Then make the first cut on the bend side
and finish with the cut on the other side.
If the branch is bent as in Fig. 15 - cut from bottom to top, finish cutting from top to bottom.
Cutting off the branch of a decapitated standing tree (Fig. 18):
First, cut the branch from the bottom to about 1/3 diameter, then cut the branch from the
top.
WARNING!
Always have a good foot support. Do not stand on the trees. Be careful to roll the cut log.
Take care of the spring of the cut-off branch.
Do not use the saw on unstable ground or ladder. Do not work with extended arms. Do not
cut above the height of the arm. Always hold the saw with both hands.
