INSTALL GUIDE AND CHAIN
Fitting the guide
To install the guide:
Remove the transfer cover 12 (Fig. 1) by unscrewing knob 10 (Fig. 1) counterclockwise as
shown in Fig. 4.
Place the saw on a hard, flat surface.
Install the guide so that the mounting bolts fit into the groove of the chain guide. (Fig. 5).
Fitting the chain
To install the chain on the guide:
Bring the guide closer to the transfer gear.
Install the chain, remembering the direction of the chain. The direction is indicated by
arrows located and located on the guide, on the chain and on the machine body. (Fig. 6)
Attention! When fitting the chain, be sure to install it correctly on the drive wheel
first and then on the guide.
Replacing the transfer guard
Fit the transfer guard 12 (Fig. 1).
Lock the guard with the knob 10 (Fig. 1).
TENSION THE CHAIN
The chain must be tensioned before starting work. Use chain tension wheel 11 (Fig. 1) to
do this.
To tighten the chain, loosen the transfer housing cover lock knob 10 (Fig. 1), check that the
chain is in the guide groove of the guide and turn the chain tension knob 11 (Fig. 1) until the
chain is properly tightened. A properly tensioned chain can be raised in the center of the
guide to a height of approximately 2-3 mm (Fig. 7). Tighten the guard mounting knob 10
correctly (Fig. 1).
The direction of rotation of the cutting chain is indicated by two arrows on the drive wheel
cover.
