2. Placing it onto the vehicle seat
The capsula® MT5 i-Fixchild car seat is tested and ap-
proved under the European Standard for Child Restraint
Systems R 129. You will find the certification mark with
the registration number on the back of the seat, see
orange label.
Do not use vehicle seats, which are arranged to side
ways. These seats are not permitted to use for child car
seats.
Use is permitted on rear-facing vehicle seats, such as in
a van or minibus, provided the vehicle seat is approved
for transport according to the European standard (ECE
R129/03). Check the permissibility with the help of the
manual of your vehicle. No airbag may act on the seat.
Use is not possible if only a 2-point harness is available.
NOTE:
ALWAYS use the vehicle seat belt when the child seat
is not in use. This also applies if the seat is connected
to the ISOFIX system. In the event of an emergency
braking or impact, an unsecured seat may injure you or
other passengers.
Luggage and other similar objects should be stored away and properly secured! In case
of an accident, these could become hazards and can injure you and your child.
Never leave your child unattended in the car.

2.1 Folding the seat
Before each journey, check that the child seat is correctly unfolded and
locked.
To unfold, move the backrest to the upright position,
until you hear an audible click.
The seat can now be used, placed on the rear seat bench
and used according to the operating instructions.
To fold, pull the locking button upwards and release the lock.
the locking mechanism. The seat can now be folded up.
2.2. Use with / without ISOFIX
For securing the child car seat with ISOFIX there is a"universal" appro-
val. This includes fastening with and without ISOFIX. Please observe
the vehicle type list and the instructions in the vehicle manufacturer's
recommendations.
Even if you use the ISOFIX system, never secure your child or child car
seat with a 2-pointvehicle-belt. If your child is secured in the child
seat only with a 2-pointvehicle-belt, it can be seriously injured in an
accident.
