Cleaning, Sanitization and Disinfection

Make sure that the device is treated for re-use only with the
application of properly validated specific procedures and that
the validated parameters are maintained during each cycle.
The equipment used must be regularly maintained.
Strictly respect the following cycles:
Single patient use:
• Clean the nebulizer and the accessories used after each
application.
• Disinfect the nebulizer and the accessories used at least
once a day.
Before each patient change:
• Clean, disinfect and sterilize the nebulizer and the accesso-
ries used.
• Replace the connecting tube because it cannot be processed
for re-use by several patients.

GENERAL NOTES

MicroDrop® RF6 plus nebulizers and related accessories must
be treated with the methods described below and validated
by the manufacturer to ensure the safety and health of pa-
tients.
These methods include in detail the processing steps of the
components and plastic ampoule accessories (excluding the
connecting pipe).
If the equipment and chemical products described are not
available, make sure that the alternative method used is as
effective as the method described and validated by the manu-
facturer.
Any alternative chemical products to those provided for in the
methods described below must be suitable for the treatment
of medical devices made with the materials of the MicroDrop®
RF6 plus and the relative accessories described in the list
Applied parts of Technical data RF6 plus nebulizer.
For handling, safety in use and efficacy of the method, be
careful and refer to the information of the manufacturer of the
chemical products.
