Power On/Off: Press and hold for 3 seconds to power
on. To power off, press and hold for 3 seconds until a
prompt appears, select yes by tapping the screen or
using the navigation buttons. When powered on, press
briefly to turn on/off the screen.

USB-C connector: Used for charging, earphones, and
USB host connection. To charge, connect to a USB
charger or computer USB port.

Volume: + and - volume buttons to adjust audio output.

Voice Memo: a dedicated voice memo button, opens
the voice Recorder application.

4-way Nav button: Press buttons to move focus up,
down, left, right.

OK button: Press this button to select highlighted
options. The OK button is also used to re-read text out
loud in Reader mode.

Back Key: Used as a quick back button to help with
menu navigation.
10. Menu Key: Press this button to display context menu.
11. Scan Trigger: Is automatically activated when the pen is
in contact with the paper to trigger scanning.
12. Scanning Window: Frames the text to be scanned.
Hold the Reader 3 at a 70° angle. Do not press any buttons
during a scan. When the Scan Trigger touches the reading
material and lights up the end of the pen, start moving the
pen along the text line at a steady pace.
The pen scans one text line at a time and this text should be
centred in the Scanning Window.
