1. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, then
release it. If the display doesn't light up, charge the battery
for about 30 minutes and then give it a second try.
2. At first use, a set-up wizard will guide you through initial
settings which include:
• Talking Menu (reads menu out loud)
• Menu language (user interface language)
• Scan language (language of text to scan)
• Voice (as some languages support more than one accent)
• Dictionary language (definitions)
• Select dictionary (definitions)
• Set up translation (Wi-Fi required)
• Auto-read (if the pen reads straight after a scan)
• Speed (reading speed)
• Volume (reading volume)
• Word pause
• Punctuation pause
• Setup Wi-Fi
• Left/Right-handed
Reader 3 can be used offline but includes additional features
and options when used with Wi-Fi. You can change these
selections at any time.
Once the device is on, you will reach the start-up menu. Use
the 4-way navigation or touch screen to explore and choose a
feature to use.
