22 PROFILER QUICKSTART
HINTS FOR THE INTERNAL POWER AMP OF
POWERHEAD AND POWERRACK
If you are afraid of damaging your unpowered KEMPER Kabinet with the built-in 600W power amp of a PowerHead
or PowerRack, press the OUTPUT button and use the <PAGE> buttons to navigate to the last page of the Output
Section. There you find the Wattage Meter to monitor exactly how much power is being delivered.
At this point, we should mention that the internal power amp is fed by the same signal that is sent to the MONITOR
OUTPUT on the rear side. Any settings that affect the MONITOR OUTPUT, e.g. Monitor Output Volume, affect the
guitar cabinet as well.
If you feel that the internal power amp is not providing enough
juice, please navigate to the last page in the Output Section and
crank up Power Amp Boost to your liking.
If you intend to use any 3rd party guitar speaker cabinet with your powered PROFILER, please connect the
cabinet with a speaker cable to the SPEAKER OUTPUT and activate "Monitor Cab. Off" in the output section as
demonstrated above.
WARNING: Never connect an active device to the SPEAKER OUTPUT! Any active devices (such as a
power soak or a KEMPER Power Kabinet) that have a grounded circuit will destroy the power amp by
creating a short circuit.
Only passive speaker systems should be connected to the SPEAKER OUTPUT.
The internal power amp can handle loads of 4 ohms and above. Please refrain from connecting devices with
impedances lower than 4 ohms, as the power amp could be damaged.
Always ensure adequate ventilation - especially if mounting your PROFILER into a rack. Failure to do so may cause
the power amp to shut down to prevent overheating.
For more information, please refer to the chapter entitled "The Built-in Power Amplifier" in the Main Manual.
