Starting up and temperature regulation

The temperature regulator can be used for the variable setting of the
storage temperature for your frozen food.
The following effects are of significance in respect of the interior tem-
perature:
– Ambient temperature;
– Quantity and temperature of the food stored;
– Frequency with which the door is opened and how long it is left
open.
– A defect in the appliance.
The following temperature settings can therefore only be considered as
recommendations that may well need to be adapted to suit your par-
ticular situation.
Position „
Refrigeration off.
Position „1-2" means:
Highest interior temperature (warmest setting)
Position „3-4" means:
Lowest interior temperature (coldest setting)
Recommended regulator setting:
Position „2-3".
1. Plug the mains plug into the mains socket.
2. Turn the temperature regulator (B) in the direction of „1"; a sound is
on only for 2 sec. The compressor starts and then runs automatically.
3. The red lamp (E) flashed and the sound alarm signal. Reset the sound
alarm signal pushing the switch (D) . The red switch continuosly flash-
es. Operate the fast-freeze switch (D) once again. The yellow pilot lamp
(C) comes on.
4. Only when the red light has gone out should you reset the fast-freeze
switch (D): the yellow light goes out and the audible warning mode is
activated again.
Important! Wait until the freezer compartment has reached a temper-
ature of -18°C, or the red warning light has gone out, before storing
frozen food.
Important: Regularly check on the red temperature pilot light (E) and
the thermometer that the required storage temperature is being main-
tained.
Important note: if you operate the fast freeze button or adjust the
temperature control knob, your appliance's refrigeration motor may
not start immediately, but does after some time. This does not mean
that your appliance has a fault.
