Cooling
Integrated fan
The BSS case has an integrated fan for cooling the built-in components. This is located on
the right-hand side of the case and must never be blocked or otherwise obstructed.
Make sure that no objects penetrate the ventilation grille (Fig. 21) and block the fan. Ensure
that there is sufficient free space (min. 15 cm) around the fan outlet opening.
Ventilation openings
There are ventilation slots behind the
Rodecaster on the cover plate. These
must never be blocked, taped or other-
wise reduced in cross-section or ob-
structed. Otherwise there is a risk of over-
heating/destruction of the installed
components.
Note: Do not expose the BSS case to direct
sunlight, otherwise there is a risk of the com-
ponents overheating.
Monitor Settings
16.1" Monitor
The monitor of the Rodecaster Video is turned on and off using the main switch on the
case. All necessary menu settings (OSD menu) can be adjusted via the buttons on the right
side of the monitor base (Fig. 22). For advanced settings, please refer to the monitor's user
manual included in the package.
LED Indicator
• When the monitor is turned on, the LED lights up green. In standby mode, the LED
lights up red. When powered off, the LED turns off.
Power Button
• Press the power button once to turn the monitor on, and press again to turn it off.
• Reset: Hold the button for 5 seconds to reset the OSD settings to their default values.

⏻ Exit/Input Source
• Press this button to display the "Input Source" menu,
then press + / − to switch between input sources.
• Within the OSD menu, press this Exit button to close
the menu and return to the previous screen.
☰ Menu/Select
• Press the Menu button to open the OSD menu.
• Within the OSD menu, press this button to confirm
your selection and enter submenus.
+ Volume Up/Up or Left
• Press this button to display the "Volume Bar".
• Press and hold to increase the volume continuously.
In the OSD menu, use this button to move up or to
the left.
− Volume Down/Down or Right
• Press this button to display the "Volume Bar".
• Press and hold to decrease the volume continuously.
In the OSD menu, use this button to move down or to the right.
+ and − Unlock OSD Menu
• Press both buttons simultaneously to unlock the menu lock and activate the func-
tions of the OSD buttons.
Connecting Components
All connections of the Rodecaster Video are eas-
ily accessible on the outside of the case. In the
basic version of the case, these connections cor-
respond directly to those of the Rodecaster and
can be used accordingly.
Only the HDMI Out 2 of the Rodecaster is inter-
nally connected to the monitor and is therefore
no longer available externally.

cables.
