Cleaning,
maintenance and
storage
WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Protect your-
self when performing maintenance or
cleaning work. Switch off the device
and remove the battery (9).
You should have any repair and main-
tenance work that is not described in
these instructions carried out by our
Service Centre. Only use original re-
placement parts.
Cleaning
WARNING! Electric shock! Never
spray down the device with water.
NOTICE! Risk of damage. Chemic-
al substances may attack the plastic
parts of the machine. Do not use any
cleaning agents or solvents.
• Keep the ventilation slits, motor
housing and handles of the ma-
chine clean. Use a damp cloth or
brush to do this.
Cleaning and maintaining the
safety cutter bar
Tools and aids required (not in-
cluded)
• Cloth
• Care oil spray
Care after each use
• Remove any green cuttings that
are stuck.
• Clean the safety cutter bar (2) with
an oily cloth.
• Maintain the safety cutter bar (2)
with a care oil spray.
Maintenance
• Check the device before each use
for obvious defects such as loose,
worn or damaged parts. Ensure

that the screws in the safety cutter
bar (2) are firmly in place.
• Check the covers and protective
devices (1/3) for damage and cor-
rect fit. Replace these if necessary
or have them repaired by the ser-
vice centre.
• You can smooth out slight nicks
on the cutting teeth yourself. To
do this, pull off the cutting edges
with an oil stone. Only sharp cut-
ting teeth provide a good cutting
performance.
• Blunt, bent or damaged safety cut-
ter bars must be replaced.
Have any work that is not described
in this instruction manual performed
by our service centre. Only use origin-
al parts.

Replacing the hand protection
(Fig. D)
1. Loosen the two screws (17) on the
hand protection (3) with a screw-
driver.
2. Replace the damaged hand pro-
tection (3).
3. Fasten the new hand protection (3)
with the two screws (17).
Storage
Always store the device and ac-
cessories:
• clean
• dry
• protected against dust
• with blade guard (14) over the
safety cutter bar (2)
• out of the reach of children
