Dead man´s handle or Drive Unit lever
f Switch the dust collector on. Pull out the EMERGENCY STOP button and depress the-
green START button.
f Pull the the lever (Nr. 239) on the drive unit towards the hand grip and check the direc-
tion and the speed of the machine.
f The direction of travel can be changed with the forward / reverse switch.
f Blasting is only allowed in the direction in which the operator has to walk backwards.
f The speed is regulated by the speed regulator on the lower right end of the control pa-
nel.
f Drive the machine to the place where blasting should begin.
f Turn the star-delta switch of the turbine motor from the star to the triangle position. Wait
at least 10 seconds!
The correct direction of the blast wheel
Three-phase motors can basically start in two directions. For the shot blasting machine,
the direction of rotation is checked by a sensor. If the direction of rotation is incorrect, the
machine cannot be activated using the START button.

f The mains plug is designed as a phase inverter. By inserting and turning a flat-head
screwdriver, two phases are reversed and the turbine will start rotating in the correct di-
rection.
f Turn the star-delta switch back to the star position.
f Wait until the turbine motor is running at maximum speed and then turn the switch to
f the triangle position.
f Operate the dead man›s switch lever (No. 237-239).
f The Shotblaster then starts moving slowly with a time delay.
f Slowly open the shot / abrasive valve using the shot lever (see picture 2.3.1, control pa-
nel labels, No. 8).
f Do not start the blasting process when the machine is at a standstill, as you will then
blast deep holes into the ground.
f The ammeter (see control panel, No. 2) on control panel shows the current consumption
of the turbine motor. Make sure that the current consumption does not exceed 26 A.
f After a few meters of operating the shotblaster, close the shot valve and then bring the
machine to a stop.
