Danger!
In the case of large undulations, joints or bumps in the ground, it is possible that
the magnetic frame of the machine lifts too far from the floor. The sealing of the
shotblaster is then ineffective and the abrasive can escape at high speed.
There is a risk of injury to those present and the risk of damage to equipment.
Before operating always check the condition of the floor to prevent this from oc-
curring.
Shot compartment, shot compartment lid and shot control lever
2.2.2
Remove the shot compartment lid from the shot compartment (Nos. 167-169). Make
sure that the shot control lever of the shot valve lever (No.171) is closed and fill the shot
compartment with shot / abrasive up to the lower edge of the sieve. Do not fill above the
sieve level, as the dust extraction system then sucks up excess shot as well.
Danger!
Only fill the shot compartment with new or sieved shot / abrasive. If necessary, cle-
an the sieve plate (No. 165).
Take the coupling pin (No. 209) out of the hole in the side plate and lower the machine
using the lifting rod. Then insert the pin into the bore of the outer drive shaft (No. 211).
Check the distance between the magnetic frame and the floor. The basic rule is, the closer
the distance to the floor, the better. Unfortunately, floors are rarely ideal and mostly quite
uneven. However, the distance should never be more than 10 mm.
