Operating the Machine
Range of applications of the mobile shotblaster
Information
The shot blasting machine was developed for blasting and cleaning horizontal and slightly
inclined surfaces made of concrete, asphalt, steel and similar.
The heart of the machine is the so-called centrifugal blast wheel. Blasting Shot is fed to
the center of the wheel. The Shot is expelled onto the surface to be treated by the centrifu-
gal force of the rapidly rotating wheel. The impacting blasting media (Shot) bounces off the
surface and is returned into the shot container through the so-called rebound channel and
sieve.
When the Shot hits the surface being blasted, particles are detached from the surface
and transported into the separator together with the Shot. The blasted material is separa-
ted from the shot abrasive in this compartment. The abrasive returns to the shot contai-
ner. From there it is fed back to the centrifugal wheel and the cycle continues. The blasted
material is extracted and transported into the dust container of the vacuum system. The
works without creating dust and can be used both outdoors and in closed rooms.
There is no environmental pollution because of the internal separation and filtering of the
dust. On the following pages you will find all the information you need to ensure a troub-
le-free and safe operation of the. You will be provided with all the necessary settings and
maintenance instructions that make working with the machine easier and that are neces-
sary for the system to run optimally.
Shot blasting of horizontal, dry floors such as concrete and steel surfaces with and without
coating and asphalt are optimised by using the abrasive shot recommended by CONTEC /
TYROLIT. The use of shotblasting outside of closed rooms is only permitted in dry weather.
Operation is only permitted with a dust extraction system also recommended by CONTEC
/ TYROLIT.
