SETTING THE TIME MANUALLY
-
Depress the "MODE" button on the back for 8 seconds, until the hours display
starts fl ashing. Then, release the button again.
-
Set the hours using the "▲" or "▼" buttons.
-
Briefl y press the "SET" button, the minutes start fl ashing.
-
Set the minutes using the "▲" or "▼" buttons.
-
Briefl y press the „SET" button, the seconds start fl ashing. Then these are auto-
matically set to "00". Wait until a time signal comes on the radio or appears on
the TV, indicating that seconds are set to "00".
-
Briefl y press the "SET" button, the minutes start fl ashing.
-
Set the year using the "▲" or "▼" buttons.
-
Briefl y press the "SET" button, the minutes start fl ashing.
-
Set the month using the "▲" or "▼" buttons.
-
Briefl y press the "SET" button, the minutes start fl ashing.
-
Set the date using the"▲" or "▼" buttons.
-
Briefl y press the "SET" button to exit the set mode.
 
The day of the week is set automatically according to the settings of date/
month/year.
DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
During summer, when the radio-controlled alarm clock has detected a time signal,
the symbol "DST" (Daylight Saving Time) is displayed below the hours.
SETTING TIME ZONE + LANGUAGES FOR WEEK DAY
-
Depress the "SET" button on the back for more than 3 seconds. The hours and
the symbol "TZ" will fl ash.

Set the hours using the "▲" or "▼" button. This will set the time zone in order
for the radio-controlled alarm clock to display the correct time at the place it is
used.
 
On the hour display of MEZ/MESZ (time/daylight saving time Central Eu-
rope) a short tone signal will sound.

Then press the "SET" key briefl y. In the display now the language for the week
day is fl ashing:
EN = English
DE = German
FR = French
IT
= Italian
RO = Romanian
TR = Turkish
GR = Greek
RU = Russian
Set the desired language using the "▲" or "▼" buttons.

Briefl y press the "SET" button to exit the set mode.
DISPLAYING THE ALARM TIME
Briefl y press the button "MODE" to switch between the display of the date and the
alarm time ("AL").

Then press the "SET" key briefl y. The alarm time hours will fl ash.
-
Set the alarm time hours using the "▲" or "▼" buttons.
-
Briefl y press the "SET" button, the minutes of the alarm time start fl ashing.
-
Set the alarm time minutes using the "▲" or "▼" buttons.
-
Briefl y press the "SET" button to exit the set mode. This will activate the previ-
ously set alarm time, and the bell symbol „
SWITCHING THE ALARM FUNCTION ON/OFF
Press the button "24h ON/OFF" on the front of the radio-controlled alarm clock
briefl y in order to turn the alarm function on or off.
When the alarm function is turned on, the bell symbol "
STOPPING THE ALARM, SNOOZE-FUNCTION

When the alarm function is turned on, a tone signal sounds at the set alarm time
(4 steps with increasing volume).
After approx. 5 seconds the display light is activated.

If you want to activate the "SNOOZE"-function, press the button "SNOOZE/
LIGHT" on the front upper side of the radio-controlled alarm clock.
This makes the alarm signal pause for 5 minutes (the bell symbol "
fl ashing) before it is activated again.

To stop the alarm signal, briefl y press the "24H ON/OFF" button on the front of
the radio-controlled alarm clock.
-
However, the alarm signal will be active the following day.
 
If you press the "24H ON/OFF" once more, the alarm function will be turned
off, ref. above.

LC-DISPLAY LIGHTING

Briefl y press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button on the upper side to activate the LC-
display light for approx. 5 seconds.

The LC-display's light adjustment sensor to the right of the display automatically
adjusts the display light. This makes it easy to read when it is dark.
To turn the "snooze light" on or off, keep the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" depressed for
approx. 3 seconds.
When the light symbol "
" bottom left at the time display is visible, the
"SNOOZE/LIGHT" is activated. The LC light is activated automatically. In the
morning when it gets increasingly lighter, the light is deactivated.
 
In order to save energy and to expand the life span of the batteries, you
should turn off the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" if you do not use it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled
for any reason.
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure
on the housing, as it may be damaged. Further, scratch marks may appear on the
display.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, they can discolour the plastic housing.
DISPOSAL
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the unserviceable product according to the current statu-
tory requirements.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these sym-
bols to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The sym-
bols for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead
(the labelling is visible on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. under the
refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of
charge at your community's collection point or any place where batteries/
rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
