Note
An incorrect battery can damage the
machine and the battery.
Inserting the battery
1. Open the cover (12).
2. Push the battery (13) along the
guide into the battery holder.
You will hear the battery click into
place.
3. Close the cover (12).
Removing the battery (Fig. H)
1. Open the cover (12).
2. Press and hold the battery release
button (20) on the battery (13).
3. Pull the battery out of the battery
holder.
4. Close the cover (12).

WARNING! Risk of injury. The ap-
paratus must only be adjusted when
the motor is switched off and the
blade is stationary. Pull out the safety
plug (14).
WARNING! Risk of injury. The
blade will keep rotating for a few
seconds after the machine has been
switched off. Do not touch the run-
ning blade.
WARNING! Risk of injury. Do not
operate the machine without an im-
pact guard or grass catcher.
Notes
• Before using the machine, al-
ways check whether all screws,
nuts, bolts and other fasteners are
tightly secured and that the safety
devices and protective covers are
in place. Worn or damaged labels
must be replaced.
• Observe noise protection rules and
other local regulations.
Procedure
• Adjust the cutting height so that
the device is not overloaded. If this
not done, the motor may become
damaged.
• Move the device at walking speed
and in lines which should be as
straight as possible. For a flawless
mowing result, the lines should al-
ways overlap by a few centimetres.
• Always move across slopes cross-
wise.
• Do not move the machine back-
wards.
• If the blades come into contact
with a foreign object, turn the en-
gine off immediately. Wait until the
blade comes to a stop and check
the device for damage. Only con-
tinue working if the device is un-
damaged.
• Switch off the machine during
longer breaks or when transport-
ing it and wait until the blade has
stopped moving.
• Clean the device after each
use, as described in Cleaning,
maintenance and storage,
p. 38.
