Operating the appliance

CAUTION: H azard of injury resp. burns!
• Casingsurfaces, the grill plates and other accessoryparts are
getting hot during operation!
• Hot surfaces are initially still hot, even after switch-off!
• Do not touch the edge of the hot grill plate when inserting the
pans!
• Insert the filled pans only up to the intended stop (indentation
in the raclette level).
1) Preheatthe grill plate
• Placeboth reverslble grill platesresp.a reversible grill plateandthe naturalstonegrill plate(Wlththe
juicegrooveupwards)onthe designatedholdingdevices of the appliance.
• Connect the mains plug to a socket
• Preheat t he appliancewithout pansat full power(rotaryswitchin position"MAX")for
o approx.15 minuteswhen using2 reversible grill plates
o approx.30 minuteswhen using1 reversible grill p ateandthe naturalstonegrill plate
2) Controlling the temperature
• Thetemperature is infinitelyvariableas required. T odothis, turn the rotaryswitchbackandforth between
"MIN" and„MAX" in orderto setthe desiredtemperature.
• Duringthe heatingprocess the amplights red.Whenthe pi ot ampgoesoff, the settemperature is
reached. T hepilot lamp,cyclingon andoff duringoperationshowsthe thermostaticregulationof the
temperature
CAUTION: T hatmeansthat the pilot lampdoesnot g ow temporari y ,a thoughthe appliance is switched
on.Therefore, m akesurethat the controlknob hasbeensetto position"OFF"after use
3) Grilling and raclette
• Equipthe grill plateswith the foodof yourchoice.Werecommend notto put too muchfoodson the
plates.Forturn'ng thefoods usecookingutensilsmadeof wood or plastic
• Putthe filled plansin the raclettegrill levelfor gratinating
TIP: Usethe enclosed spatulas to movethe foodsin the pansor to pushout the meltedcheeseButyou
cana so useother kitchenware madeof wood or p astic.However, p ayattentionthat theydo not have
ongercontactwith hot parts.Neverusecookingutensilsmadeof metalasthosemight damagethe non
stickcoating
NOTE: D on't put the emptypansin the raclettegrill-level.Puthot pansonly on heat-resistant surfaces
4) Switch OFF
• Forswitchingoff theappliance,turn the rotaryswitchuntil position"OFF"andunplugthe mainsplug
CAUTION:Fora safe switch off, after every usethe appliance has to be separated from the
mains by pulling the mains plug!
