IMPORTANT: At first, prepare the natural stone grill plate
• Before using the natural stone grill plate for the first time, it has to be preparedfor the future use
to prevent stress cracks.Thistreatmentgives the stoneits uniformcolour.
• Sparing y rubthe stoneplatewth a heat-resistant oi or grease, l ikee.g refinedpeanutoil. Do not usecold
pressed oil (e.g. oliveOil)or butter.
• Putthestoneplatein theoven(2500C)andheatit upfor at leastthirty minutes. A fterwards letthestone
platecooldown in theswitchedoff oven
NOTE: Stone is a natural material and is not chemically treated. Therefore small cracks and a
darker colour due to usage are normal and no reason for complaint (excluded from warranty
claims).
Wipethecasing with a dampclothanddryit thoroughy.Clean the pans, t he spatulas, the reversing grill
platesaswell asthe naturalstonegrill platewith warmwateranda milddetergentpriorto initial use.
• Prior to initial use, the protective coating of the heating elements must be burnt-in. Todoso,heatup
the appliance — without pans!—for approx.10minutesat full power.Please do notbedauntedbytheslight
andharmless d evelopment of smokeandsmellwhichwill occuronlyfor ashortwhile.DunngthIS timetake
