13. Operation

Only take the device into operation after familiarising yourself with its functions and these opera-
ting instructions.
Check all the connections again.
a) Switching On/Off, Standby
• Use the on/off switch (A) to switch the CD player on or off.
In the deactivated position, the button of the on/off switch protrudes a little farther from the de-
vice than in the activated position.
• When the CD-player is switched on, the display will be lit and „LOADING" will appear. The CD-player
scans for an inserted CD.
If no CD is inserted or if the CD cannot be read, „NO DISC" will appear after a few seconds.
• Use the button „CD STANDBY" (15) to switch the CD player to standby mode. In standby mode, the blue
standby LED below the on/off switch (A) lights up for indication.
Push the button „CD STANDBY" (15) again to reactivate the CD player. Alternatively, you can briefly
switch the CD player off and on again via the on/off switch (A).

b) Open/Close CD Tray, Insert/Remove CD

• Push the button „
to open the CD tray.
• Insert a single CD with the labelled side up into the round opening of the CD tray with the CD tray open.
CDs with a diameter of 80 mm or 120 mm can be inserted.
When inserting, ensure that the CD is centred cleanly. This applies specifically to CDs with a
diameter of 80 mm.
• Push the button „
again to close the CD tray.
• The CD player now starts reading the CD. The display shows the track number (up to 999) and the total
playing time (mm:ss = minutes:seconds). All MP3 files on the data carrier are summarised.
For a formal audio CD, you can push the button „CD DISPLAY/USB" (8) briefly several times to display the
current track playback time, the remaining track playback time, the current total playback time and the
remaining total playback time.
