8. IR Remote Control

The enclosed system remote control permits
controlling the main functions of the CD player.
In the figure on the right, the buttons for the CD
player are marked with a circle.
The buttons used for other components of the
system (e.g. for an amplifier) are marked with a
square in the figure on the right.
If you have only purchased the CD player, these
buttons are without function.
[1] Button „AMPLIFIER STANDBY"
Switching the amplifier on/off
[2] Button „SURR. SOUND"
Switching the surround sound on/off
[3] Button „EQUALIZER"
Switch between internal/external equali-
zers
[4] Button „ST./MONO"
Switch between stereo and mono in FM ra-
dio operation
[5] „MUTE" button
Mute switch
[6] Button „AMPLIFIER DISPLAY"
Display of the current equalizer setting,
followed by the current surround sound set-
ting; in radio operation, the button is used to
switch through the RDS data of FM stations
[7] Button „PTY SEARCH"
Targeted search for stations with a specific
RDS signal
(8) Button „CD DISPLAY/USB"
Switch between the CD insert and the USB
connection
[9] Button „AUTO/MANUAL"
Switch between automatic and manual sta-
tion search
[10] Button „8" and „2"
Switching through the programme stations
(11) Button „MEM"
Generation of a playback list
