Handling
Operating
With the operating switch in the forward position ,
the screwdriver is started by pressing the trigger.
Run the screwdriver till the preset torque is
reached and the clutch releases. Then you will hear
a click sound from the clutch and the green LED
will lighten and the motor will be shut off.
Operating switch
The screwdriver is locked with the operating
switch in the middle position and will run anti-
clockwise in the reverse position.
The trigger must be released before changing the
operating switch.
Temperature
Temperature in excess of 50°C reduce the perfor-
mance of the battery. Avoid extended exposure to
heat or sunshine (risk of overheating).
Setting of tightening torque
For accurate operation and safety, the tightening
torque of the screwdriver must be set correctly in
relation to the screw joint. Check the torque figure
for the actual joint and the tightening torque given
to the joint.
Atlas Copco's Torque Analyser, ACTA 4000, plus
an appropriately-sized in-line rotary transducer,
such as IRTT, are suitable instruments for check-
ing the torque, (see fig. and our main catalogue).
The tightening torque is adjusted by altering the
tension of the clutch spring by means of the adjust-
ment disc and the key provided. Place the key in
the hole in the front part. The adjustment key is to
be turned clock-wise to increase the tightening
torque. Always finish the adjustment at a "holding
position" (located each 1,5 turns of the key). If the
torque setted is too high, there will be no click-
sound from the clutch and the green LED will not
lighten, but the motor will be shut off.
To prevent the screw joint from being damaged, it
is recommended to start at low torque setting.
Don't adjust the torque over the maximum rec-
ommendation as it will result in improper
function and faster wear.
