• Screw the battery cover back into place by turning it in the clockwise direction.
Batteries Directive
Batteries must not be disposed of as household waste and you are legally
obliged to return used batteries. Local facilities exist for returning used bat-
teries free of charge (e.g. in retail outlets or at communal collection points).
Batteries are labelled with a crossed-out wheeled bin and the chemical
symbol of the harmful substance they contain: "Cd" for cadmium, "Hg" for mercury and
"Pb" for lead.
Please help us to protect the environment.

2.11 CHANGING THE VIEWING ANGLE
• Turn the locking screw to the left (anti-clockwise) to unlock
the tripod ring in position.
• Turn the spotting scope, which is secured on its tripod,
around the tripod ring in the desired direction. There are
detents at 0˚, ±45˚ and ±90˚.
• Turn the locking screw to the right (clockwise) to lock the
tripod ring in position.
2.12 USING THE SUNSHIELD
The integrated, extendable sunshield keeps away disturbing
lateral light and protects the objective lens from rain.
The sunshield is best slid out and in with a slight rotary motion.
It snaps in when extended as well as when retracted.
