FILTER GUIDE
INFORMATION ON ALL TYPES OF FILTERS
The type of fi lter to be installed in a cab air fi ltration system depends on the type and/or concentration of
the contamination. Using the right combinationof fi lters and replacing it in a timely manner is important.
P1 DUSTFILTER
P1 dust fi lters are available for fi ltering coarse dust particles. This fi lter ensures
that particles with a size larger than 0.4 m are fi ltered from 50% to 90%
e ciency. An installed P1 fi lter ensures that subsequent fi lters are not
damaged and become saturated less quickly.
Standard:
ISO16890
Filter class:
F5
Function:
Pre-fi lter, protection of subsequent fi lters.
Replacement
Up to 6 months (1080 hours) or upon highly

P3 DUSTFILTER
P3 (HEPA H13) dust fi lters are available to fi lter harmful (fi ne) substances
such as asbestos and quartz dust (0.4
These absolute fi lters are produced in accordance with EN1822 and tested
for leak-tightness. A test certifi cate is supplied with every P3 dust fi lter.

m with an e ciency of 99.95%).
ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER
For example, soil remediation often releases harmful gases and vapors, which can
cause serious damage to your health in the long term. The activated carbon particles
(carbon atoms) exert an attractive force on gaseous or liquid particles (molecules).
Standard:
EN12941 / EN14387
Function:
Capturing toxic or unpleasant vapours and/or odours
Replacement
maximum 13 weeks (540 hours), after saturation or after every
remediation.

The type of carbon fi lter to be installed depends on the contamination. The standard
EN12941/EN14387 provides a clear classifi cation for di erent chemical substances and
their ad/chemsorption requirement:
A
Aromatic hydrocarbons; boiling point >65°C (petrol, oil, minerals)
B
Inorganic compounds (chlorine, cyanide, cyanide)
E
Acidic gases (hydrochloric acid, sulfur dioxide, formic acid)
K
Amines (ammonia, ammonia compounds, aniline)
X
Aromatic hydrocarbons; boiling point > 65°C (acetone, chloroform)
HG
Organic mercury compounds (mercury, methylmercury, merbromide)
Activated carbon fi lters can contain several chemical substances, such as ABEK.
