2. Operating mode and de-humidification performance
The BT 700 is a condensation drier. The dehumidification function is established when
the moist room air is blown over the cold evaporation unit. The moisture condenses on
the cold surface and drips off. The condensate formed is led into the condensate tank
or through the condensate conveying pump or the discharge hose. The now warmer
and drier air returns to the room and absorbs steam again there.
If the building drier is functioning at a room temperature under approx. 20 degrees C,
frost usually forms on the humidifier line. If the electronic devices detect icy
temperatures on the humidifier, they automatically release the thawing cycle. A
considerable amount runs from the humidifier into the condensate tank during this
period. As soon as the ice has thawed on the humidifier, normal operations are
resumed. Since thawing takes place using hot gas, the thawing cycle only takes a few
minutes.
The amount of water removed from the device depends on air humidity and air
temperature in all building driers. As far as possible, the building drier's performance
must be measured by how fast air humidity decreases and not by how much water is
drawn out of it. You can measure the exact air humidity with a thermo-hygrometer.

3. Installing the building drier

The building drier should be operated in a closed room to achieve the best
performance. Close all openings to other parts of the building such as windows and
doors so that moist air does not mix with the air in the areas to be dried. Open and
close doors as little as possible. A closed drying chamber is thus formed. The number
of devices used should be such that a triple air exchange is achieved.
Air should be able to circulate freely within the drying chamber. Open internal doors
and use air blowers to achieve good air circulation in all areas.
Place the building drier in such a way that air flow through the inlet and outlet is not
restricted. Do not place it close to loose material such as curtains, for example.
The building drier should normally be placed in the middle of the room. To dry a
specific place, the building drier should be set up so that the discharged air is directed
on the wet area and the warm, dry air flows over it. The opening should be at least one
metre from the wall.
The HEYLO building drier heats the air from which it draws out the moisture. In smaller
rooms, the temperature can increase considerably because of this. Room
temperatures between 20 degrees and 27 degrees C offer generally good conditions
for drying. Room temperature should not exceed 38 degrees C and not be below 1
degrees C, since the building drier will not function otherwise. (see Troubleshooting,
Point 7)
