COUNTUP FROM ZERO (In countdown
1. From CLOCK mode. press MODE to access the first option ot event timer. Ifthe timer is stopped and
reset to 00:00. the display will show the word TMR and Down PLUS up arrows. (If the timer is running
press the STOP button first and then press the CLEAR button). The display will now show 0000
2. Press START/STOP and the timer will count up trom zero in minutes and seconds to a maximum
of 59mins 59secs. The display will also change to show TMR and only the Up arrow
3. During the countup. the timer can be stopped and started again as many times as required (for
example if you are held up on the course)
4. The countup from zero option has a beep sound that sounds every minute. For seconds 57,58 & 59
there is a e-lort beep and at second 00 there is a longer beep on the tull minute
5. The lower dgits snow 0:00 to show the timer was set to zero when it was started.
PROGRAMMED
COUNTDOWN
1. TOuse the programmed countdown option, use MODE to get to the COUNTDOWN and up mode.
the timer is stopped and at
the display will show 00:00 aM TMR and Down PLUS Up arrows.

Press the MIN button to program in the required minutes. and the SEC button to
program in the required seconds. The display will now show your
time. This will probably be the optimum time tor the cross country course.
The lower digits will also show the time that was set (i.e. the optimum time),

Press START/STOP
button and the timer will countdown
seconds towards zero. The display will show the word TMR and JUST the
Down arrow. The lower digits will not countdown. but Stay on the set time.

During the countdown period, there will be a beep sound for each full minute
remaining. There will be a short beep at seconds 03.0201 and then a longer beep at second 00.

it you are held up on the course)

During the final 30 seconds Ofthe programmed period there are extra warning beeps. A long beep
sounds at second 30. From 15, 14,13.12 etc. there are short beeps building up to a long beep at zero
(The end Ofthe optimum time).

At zero, the timer will then start to count up. The display will change to TMR and JUST the up arrow.

During the final 59 seconds Ofcountdown, the digits changed to rnassive size.
NOTE If you set the countdown period for less than 1 minute there will be no beeps at 30 seconds,
15,14, 13. etc. The only beeps will be

NOTE The watch beeps in the final 30 seconds. If these beeps overlap with a minute beep, the
minute beep will NOT sound. The final 30 seconds beeps take preference

HINTS
1. The alarm beeps can be turned off at any time by pressing and holding the MODE button for 2
A beep can be heard when the sound has either been turned ON or OFF and the icon for
the bell is shown if it is on.
It you stop the timer as you go through the finish line, the display will show a number of seconds (and

maybe minutes). This will be seconds UNDER the optimum time it the full beep has NOT sounded
and COUNTDOWN is Still displayed. It will be seconds (and maybe minutes) OVER the optimum time
it the full beep HAS
and the display shows COUNTUP.

If you like countdown more than countup, but want to start your watch befcre the starter says "Go',
then ask tor the starter to tell you when there is perhaps 30 seconds before the start. Have your watch
programmed for the optimum time PLUS 30 seconds. When the starter says "30 seconds" start your
watch. Then use the rest of the time to get your horse into the Start box and be Sure the watch is
running. This is very useful tor hcrses that do not like going into the start box.
